Our CD Cricket Top of the South Holiday Skills Camp offers aspiring young players from our South Island CD Districts a chance to access expert specialist skills coaching from our professional CD Pathway coaches - Deepak Joon, Aldin Smith, Jamie Watkins, and CDCA Strength & Conditioning expert Roy Haffner

The user-pays camp helps you to grow and fine-tune your all-round skills ahead of summer through the expert-led specialist sessions that will cover:

  • Batting
  • Seam Bowling
  • Spin Bowling
  • Fielding
  • Wicketkeeping
  • Mental Skills
  • Strength & Conditioning

This October, we're holding two camps side by side for 16 to 19 year olds (i.e. combining the U17 and U19 age bands). One is a male camp, and one is a female camp, and these will run alongside each other in small groups over two days at the purpose-built cricket facilities at Saxton Oval, Nelson

To reiterate, these camps are open to any players aged 16 to 19 living in Nelson or Marlborough District Associations and you don't have to be a CD representative cricketer already. Meals are included as part of the camp cost, while travel to and from the Nelson camp is at the participant's cost. Accommodation will be provided for players not already based in Nelson, at no additional cost

•  Top of the South Camp cost is $300 + GST for each participant

•  Accommodation will be provided for those travelling from outside of Nelson (It is expected that Nelson-based players will not require accommodation)

• Places are limited and last year's camp quickly sold out! We strongly advise booking early (see below) to avoid missing out on the once-a-year opportunity

• Registrations close at 5PM on 30 September 2024 - or earlier, if all spots have been taken

•  Please be assured that non-attendance will have absolutely no bearing on selections for CD age-group sides
