CD SCHOLARSHIP

Four Central Districts Cricket Scholarships provide financial support to talented cricketers from within the Central Districts Cricket region who are studying, or intending to study in 2024, at undergraduate level at Massey University's Manawatū campus.

The value of each annual tertiary scholarship is $2,500

Recipients must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, and must be playing cricket as a registered player in the Central Districts area (Nelson, Marlborough, Horowhenua-Kāpiti, Wairarapa, Manawatū, Whanganui, Taranaki, Hawke's Bay) or for CD teams

FOCUS • For cricket players within the CD region who have a desire to study towards a university degree


LEVEL OF STUDY • Undergraduate, first year


BACKGROUND • Established by Central Districts Cricket several years ago, the scholarship helps us to lead, grow, and sustain cricket in the heartland of New Zealand


PURPOSE • Financial support for talented cricketers in our region who will be studying at Massey University's Palmerston North campus. This financial support helps ensure players can easily remain based in our region and continue to develop their game, whilst studying towards their tertiary degree


• VALUE The annual value of each scholarship is $2500. The scholarship money is paid in two equal instalments upon confirmation of enrolment in semesters one and two, following the official withdrawal date close-off for these semesters


• TENURE The scholarship is awarded annually and the tenure is for a single academic year
