The New Zealand Under 19 men's World Cup squad is on the way to South Africa for the build-up to the game's premier two-yearly youth showdown this January.
NZ U19 will warm up for the ICC Under-19 World Cup proper with a quality quadrangular starter series in South Africa against the hosts, Zimbabwe U19, and defending champions India U19 - starting with their first game against Zimbabwe at Kingsmead from 8.30PM NZ time on 3 January.
CD U19 captain and allrounder JOEY FIELD, of Hawke's Bay, will be flying the flag for CD as our sole representative in the national side at the international event, where 16 cricket natians will compete in four pools.
New Zealand is in Group A with India, Japan and Sri Lanka.
The top two from each pool advance to the Super stage, while the remaining teams continue in a Plate league to determine final rankings.
CDCA wishes Joey and all the NZ U19 side and management staff a safe, enjoyable and successful tour.
