ABOUT THIS TROPHY


THE AIMEE WATKINS TROPHY is one of the newest trophies contested in the CD region. It's a short format girls' secondary schools contest that brings together annual finalists from our North Island-based Districts

This competition began in the 2022/23 season with two teams from Wairarapa and two teams from Manawatū proceeding to the first Finals day.


FEILDING HIGH SCHOOL came out tops against SOLWAY COLLEGE, PALMERSTON NORTH GIRLS' HIGH and KURANUI COLLEGE in this first ever tournament.

This season (2023/24) six teams competed in The Aimee Watkins Trophy Finals, after the competition expanded to include two sides from Whanganui


2024 FINALISTS: SOLWAY COLLEGE, KURANUI COLLEGE, WHANGANUI COLLEGIATE, NGA TAWA SCHOOL, FEILDING HIGH SCHOOL and WAIRARAPA COLLEGE.


The Aimee Watkins Finals were played at Wallace and Ongley Parks, Palmerston North on 13 March 2024 with WAIRARAPA COLLEGE winning the trophy undefeated
