For the first time in two years, the big hits of Dream11 Super Smash will return to Nelson.
The CENTRAL HINDS and CENTRAL STAGS will play not once, but twice at beautiful Saxton Oval, in the holiday window of 4 and 6 January 2025.
With these Nelson T20 doubleheaders following on from the 2 January BLACKCAPS v Sri Lanka T20 International, the Saxton Oval matches make for a ‘super’ week of top-notch sporting entertainment for the top of the South.
After the two home game-days in Nelson, the Stags and Hinds will also head to Palmerston North and Napier as part of this season's home T20 itinerary - a January extravaganza for Central Districts.

Dream11 Super Smash takes centre stage across New Zealand from late December to early February this summer, each team playing five home and five away rounds - with the top three teams to progress to a fresh-look finals weekend at Wellington's Cello Basin Reserve on the first weekend of February.
Central’s first Nelson doubleheader, on 4 January, will be a big one - pitting the Hinds against Wellington Blaze in a rematch of last summer’s Grand Final.
Then it's another big contest as Northern Brave flies into Nelson, the two Saxton Oval doubleheader days and the matchday in Palmerston North (Sunday, 12 January, against the Otago Sparks and Volts) all scheduled to begin at 12.40PM, the Hinds' game to be followed by the men's match at 4.25PM.

The Hinds and Stags play back-to-back at every home and away Dream11 Super Smash fixture this season, and tickets get you in for both T20 games on the day at all venues.
Hawke's Bay supporters will also be able to catch the Central Stags under lights at McLean Park with Hinds/Stags doubleheaders in Napier against Canterbury on Friday, 17 January; and Auckland on Wednesday, 29 January from 2.10PM (HINDS) and 5.55PM (STAGS) both days - with free giveaways and a fresh batch of prizes for fans to win at all venues this summer.
With both the McLean Park matchdays being weekdays, the evening fixtures will make it easier for people to attend, and bring the family, if you’re back at work.
New VENUE PASSES are already on sale for both McLean Park and Saxton Oval, so if you are planning on catching two Dream11 Super Smash doubleheaders at the same venue, you can score a great ticket deal now.
The star-studded Central sides will be opening their overall 2024/25 T20 campaign away this summer, at Alexandra’s Molyneux Park against the Otago Sparks and Volts on 31 December 2024, and will also make away trips to Wellington, Christchurch, and Hamilton.
One fixture remains to be confirmed, with the Auckland Hearts and Aces to host the Hinds and Stags on 15 January, but the location yet to be announced.
All the Dream11 Super Smash matches will be livestreamed for FREE viewing on TVNZ+ again this season and many matches also broadcast on TVNZ Duke, with Finals weekend live commentary on SENZ radio as well.
The summer's schedule marks a break from tradition, Pukekura Park missing from the national T20 doubleheader itinerary, but inked in to host a string of national Ford Trophy and Hallyburton Johnstone Shield one-day games.

Central Districts Cricket CEO LANCE HAMILTON hoped the increased allocation of one-dayers — all of which will be FREE admission — would soften the blow for the large cohort of Stags and Hinds fans who look forward to their cricket at Pukekura Park.
“Pukekura Park is renowned as one of the world’s most beautiful cricket grounds, and it’s also home to a highly knowledgable crowd who enjoy supporting us year after year.
“The opening games and the final round of The Ford Trophy will be key matches for the Stags, and bring the Auckland Aces, Northern Districts and Wellington Firebirds all to town.
“We’ve been able to get two of the three Stags’ one-day fixtures in New Plymouth scheduled for a Sunday to make it as easy as possible for people to attend.
"With the Central Hinds, we’ve got twice as many one-dayers at Pukekura Park this season — all weekend fixtures so that there will be opportunities to see the Hinds play the Auckland Hearts and the Canterbury Magicians in New Plymouth as well.”
