HINDS CLINICAL IN HAMILTON

It's been a winning weekend in Waikato for the Central Hinds.

The team followed up Friday's Dream11 Super Smash win (a high stakes, five-over game after rain against Northern Brave) with a convincing one-day victory against Northern Districts in the sixth round of the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield.

DREAM11 SUPER SMASH SCORES

The Hinds picked up a much-needed bonus point to reignite their Hallyburton Johnstone Shield season, after having dismissed their hosts for just 99.

With two debutantes - Manawatu's SAM MACKINDER, and Wairarapa allrounder OCEAN BARTLETT picking up her first one-day cap, the Hinds went to lunch with the satisfaction of having much of their own chase already ticked off.

Bartlett had picked up her maiden Hallyburton Johnstone Shield wicket with just her second delivery when she had Eve Wolland caught at 59/7.

She went on to 3-23 off her six overs as ND was rolled in just the 26th over, with ROSEMARY MAIR (with a big early double strike) and JESS WATKIN both picking up 2-18 off five overs.

SCORECARD

ND's Carol Agafili fought hard down the order to give her side something to bowl at, hitting three boundaries in her top score of 27.

She was stopped by a terrific catch from Emily Cunningham to give Bartlett her second wicket.

The Hinds had cruised to 83/2 by lunch, captain Natalie Dodd carrying on to bat throughout the chase - and making it look easier than the sluggish conditions suggested, ticking off the winning run with 23.5 overs in hand.
