CD WELCOMES SHINING PEAK BREWING TO THE FAMILY

Central Districts Cricket is delighted to announce and welcome SHINING PEAK BREWING to 'Team CD' as our newest major partner on board for the summer.

CD’s preferred beer supplier was born right here in Central Districts, with Shining Peak's flagship brew pub and eatery located in New Plymouth and 'on tap' for a visit during our Dream11 Super Smash holiday season coming up in Taranaki.

BRENDAN AMOS, Sales Manager at Shining Peak Brewing said he and the company is excited to be sponsoring both the CENTRAL HINDS and CENTRAL STAGS teams for the summer ahead.

"We can't wait to share our beer with fans in Palmerston North, Nelson, and New Plymouth across the season," said Amos.

"As a community-focussed brewery, it’s great to be able to support the cricketing whānau throughout the entire Central Districts region, and we can't wait for some fantastic crowds, results and sunshine this summer!"

Spectators in New Plymouth will also get the chance to try Shining Peak's special release PUKEKURA PARK PILSNER, available exclusively at our Dream11 Super Smash T20 fixtures at Pukekura Park on 30 and 31 December 2022, and 5 January 2023.

CD Cricket CEO LANCE HAMILTON said it was wonderful to have such an enthusiastic homegrown sponsor join the CD family, with the Shining Peak logos to adorn the shirt sleeves of both our premier Hinds and Stags T20 teams.

“We see this as the start of a longterm partnership with a company that is really committed to our region and doing some very impressive and progressive things in a competitive market.

"We're also excited to be able to sell some beautiful, cold craft beer at all our Dream11 Super Smash games which I am sure will be appreciated given that we have a very warm summer forecast for our most popular matches of the year."

There have been the strongest online ticket sales yet for both the season-opening 27 December doubleheader against the Wellington Firebirds and Blaze in Palmerston North, and the three home doubleheaders to follow in New Plymouth.

With a large walk-up crowd also expected on all days, Central spectators are strongly advised to get their tickets online before heading to the game, and to arrive with plenty of time on match days to secure parking and avoid missing the action if in the queues that can form at these boutique and intimate grounds.

Tickets are also cheaper when you buy online so get yourself sorted now right here.
