Central Hinds star HANNAH ROWE has been named in the national WHITE FERNS squad to play Bangladesh in the first ever bilateral ODI Series between the women's sides here next month, including our 14 December day-nighter at McLean Park.
The pace allrounder will join the squad following the preceding three-match T20i Series, along with Aucklander Molly Penfold, for the three-match 50-over series with tickets to the McLean Park match that starts at 2pm on sale now.
At 26, Rowe brings invaluable experience to the bowling line-up, with 44 wicket in 42 One-Day Internationals to her credit since her debut as a youngster in February 2015.
She starred with a match-winning, career-best five-wicket bag when she took 5-55 against Pakistan at Hagley Oval in the ICC Women's World Cup earlier this year, but has got a start in only one WHITE FERNS ODI since, in the West Indies in September.
The Central Hinds trio of Rowe, CLAUDIA GREEN and NATALIE DODD were all named last week in the New Zealand XI squad to play the Bangladesh women in a short warm-up series in Lincoln, Canterbury ahead of the Internationals.
Rowe has played Bangladesh just once before, in a nine-wicket win for New Zealand at the World Cup last summer.
